Does This Post Fit Over an Existing Wood Post?
No. This 51″ in-ground post is designed for direct installation into the ground. Its extended depth provides strong below-ground support while meeting USPS height requirements above ground. Installation instructions are included to ensure proper setup.
Do I need an In-Ground Post or Surface Mount Post?
First check where you intend to install your post mount mailbox. If you are going to dig into the ground then you need the In-Ground Mounting Post, which is the most common post. If you are going to build a concrete slab or attach to existing solid surface (driveway/concrete/etc) then the Surface Mounting Post is for you.
