Match Your Mailbox
to Your Home

Our colors are designed to coordinate with popular exterior paint palettes. Below are the closest commercially available matches from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, and Clare, plus a few tips for pulling it all together.

How to Match

The paint matches listed on each color card are verified through spectrophotometric comparison. For the best results, bring a physical color chip to your local paint retailer and request a custom match to any Adoorn product. Most stores can scan your mailbox color directly if you bring a swatch or the product itself.

Styling Tips

  • Match your mailbox to your front door for a pulled-together entry
  • Coordinate with existing trim, shutters, or accent colors
  • Use Black, White, or Navy as a safe complement to bold exteriors
  • Greens and earth tones ground into garden settings naturally
  • When in doubt, contrast beats match. Navy against warm brick is effortless

Frequently Asked
Questions

Colors & Options
What colors do Adoorn mailboxes come in?

Adoorn currently offers 9 colors and 2 wood finishes: Black, White, Red Red, Curb Yellow, Navy, Malbec, Sandstone, Forest Green, Walnut, and White Oak. We also offer limited-edition and seasonal colors. Previously retired colors include Aegean Sea, Dill Green, Ocean Blue, and Chili Red.

What is the most popular Adoorn mailbox color?

Black is our best-selling color across all product lines. It pairs with virtually any home exterior and complements both modern and traditional architecture. Navy and White are close behind.

Do Adoorn mailboxes come in blue?

Yes. Navy is a deep, classic blue available across all product lines. We previously offered Aegean Sea (a muted teal) and Ocean Blue (a saturated deep blue), both of which have been retired.

Does Adoorn offer wood mailboxes?

Yes. We offer two wood finishes: Walnut, a rich dark grain, and White Oak, a lighter natural tone. Both are available in select Post Mount and Locking models and pair beautifully with silver or black address numbers.

Can I request a new or retired Adoorn color?

Yes. Visit the Retired tab on this page and submit your suggestions. We review all requests and use this feedback to guide future color releases and revivals.

Paint Matching & Styling
Can I match my Adoorn mailbox color to my house paint?

Yes. Each color in our library includes verified paint matches from Benjamin Moore, Sherwin-Williams, Behr, and Clare. For the best results, bring a physical color chip or your Adoorn product to a local paint retailer for a custom color match using their spectrophotometer.

Will Benjamin Moore or Sherwin-Williams match an Adoorn color exactly?

Close, but not identical. Each paint brand uses proprietary colorant systems, so a Benjamin Moore match and a Sherwin-Williams match of the same Adoorn color will look very similar but not perfectly the same. The matches listed here are the closest commercially available options. For the tightest match, bring your actual Adoorn product or a color chip to any retailer with a spectrophotometer and ask for a custom formula.

Should my mailbox match my front door?

It depends on the distance. If your mailbox is near the entry, matching your front door creates a pulled-together look. If it is at the curb, a complementary color often reads better than an exact match. You can also tie your mailbox to your shutters, trim, or accent color for a coordinated feel without being too matchy.

What mailbox color goes with a white house?

Nearly any Adoorn color pairs well with a white exterior. Black creates sharp, modern contrast. Navy adds classic curb appeal. For warmth, try Malbec or Forest Green. Curb Yellow makes a playful statement against white siding.

What mailbox color goes with red brick?

Black is the classic choice for brick homes and works every time. Navy is a strong alternative that adds depth without competing with the warmth of the brick. Avoid red tones unless they are an exact match, as near-reds can clash. Sandstone and Forest Green also pair naturally with brick and stone exteriors.

Product & Care
Can I paint my Adoorn mailbox a custom color?

We do not recommend painting over the factory powder coat finish, as it is engineered for UV resistance and long-term exterior durability. Aftermarket paint may chip, peel, or void the warranty. If you need a specific color, contact us and we can discuss custom options.

How long do Adoorn colors last outdoors?

Every Adoorn product is finished with a commercial-grade powder coat rated for exterior use. It resists fading, chipping, and corrosion through years of sun, rain, and snow. No touch-ups, no repainting, no maintenance.

Does the color look the same in person as it does on screen?

Screens vary, and lighting conditions make a big difference. We have done our best to photograph each color accurately under natural light, but we always recommend viewing the hex codes and paint matches listed here as reference points. If you are on the fence between two colors, contact us and we can help you decide.

What if I ordered the wrong color?

Reach out to our team within 30 days of delivery and we will work with you on an exchange. The product must be unused and in its original packaging. Visit our Returns and Exchanges page or email us at hello@adoorn.com for the fastest response.

Can my mailbox hold more than mail?

Technically it can hold anything that fits. Keys, snacks, a love letter, a very small cat. We have seen it all. But for legal purposes, it is a mailbox.
