Do I need the Surface Mount Post or the In-Ground Post?
First check where you intend to install your post mount mailbox. If you are going to dig into the ground then you need the In-Ground Mounting Post, which is the most common post. If you are going to build a concrete slab or attach to existing solid surface (driveway/concrete/etc) then the Surface Mounting Post is for you.

Does this post fit with any size adoorn post mount mailbox?
Yes! This product works universally across our post mount mailbox product line. Additionally, our posts will work for mounting most other standard size post mount mailboxes.
How do I install the Surface Mount Post?

This mailbox was easy to install and looks great, It does appear to be a little on the short side but great other than that. The addition of the numbers makes it stand out more.
Delivery was excellent, packed with care.
My only request would be the magnetic closure is not strong enough to keep the box closed
Love my new yellow mailbox. I ordered the small one with the mounting post. Post is good heavy duty metal. My neighbor installed for me and he was impressed and said it was pretty easy to install. It must have been because he did it in the dark! Very happy!
