NOTICE: WE RECOMMEND YOU CONSULT A CONTRACTOR OR HANDYPERSON, AS NEEDED, TO ENSURE A SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION.

Adoorn is simply making a recommendation below, as every installation is different (location, surface type, hardware type, etc); a contractor or handyperson will utilize best practices for installation.

HARDWARE NOT INCLUDED.

Depending on where you will anchor the Package Box and to what surface, you will need to buy anchoring hardware suitable for your situation. You can buy this hardware at most hardware stores.

  • Hardware Size: 5/16” fits with bottom panel anchor holes
  • # of Hardware: 4pcs

LOCATION SELECTION.

Before starting you need to pick a location for your Package Box. Find a location under an eave or protected area. Practice opening and closing the Adoorn to ensure proper spacing and functionality.

Determine what material you will be installing into: Wood, Composite, Concrete, etc.

Hardware Needed- NOT INCLUDED

  • 4pcs non-rusting 5/16" D lag bolts
  • 4pcs 5/16" D washers

Step-by-Step process:

  1. Locate the position for your Adoorn Package Box.
  2. Practice opening and closing the Adoorn to ensure proper spacing and functionality.
  3. You will need to buy non-rusting 5/16” lag bolts, 5/16” washers and 5/16” gasket washers- Adoorn does NOT include these with the product.
  4. Open your Adoorn and mark 4 qty anchor holes on wood decking through the bottom of Adoorn floor. It is recommended to use chalk or permanent marker, so it is clearly visible when you remove the Adoorn from its position.
  5. Remove the Adoorn, revealing the locations of the 4 qty anchor holes.
  6. Drill 4pc pilot holes for the anchor holes. A medium strength wood should have a 3/16 pilot hole drilled. Keep the drill plumb and level, ensuring straight anchor holes.
  7. Clear away any sawdust/debris to ensure a clean area for positioning your Adoorn.
  8. Place the Adoorn box back into position, aligning the drilled holes & the 4 holes in the bottom of the adoorn.
  9. Slide one 5/16” washer over the 5/16” lag bolt.
